The Stan West collection is going under the hammer at the Bonhams Auction, to be held at the World’s most historic racing event, The Goodwood Revival Meeting, on the 18th September.
Stan who co-founded the parts company German, Swedish and French and is the owner of VeeWee the Volkswagon specialist has decided to sell this exceptional 23 strong collection of pre and post 1940 cars.
Some highlights are a 1923 Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Silver Ghost Open Tourer estimated between £200 and £300k.
In our opinion one of the most elegant Bentley’s ever made, the wonderful Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback, you will need to dig deep for that one though as it has a reserve of £650 to £850k. Gulp!
Along with the Rolls and Bentley's, there are Lagonda’s, Bristol’s and some fantastic Aston Martin’s, specifically a DB MKIII at £140 to £180k, DB5 Sports saloon at the usually half a million starting estimate and even a DB6 MKII starting at £170k.
To say this is a premium collection is an understatement. We can also confidently say that some very happy people will be leaving Bonham’s next month, we suspect they'll be sporting smiles wider than the rear end of the wonderful Bentley R-Type above that all of our team will be, and have been, salivating over.
