According to a recently commissioned report, Porsche won top spot in the classic car value list, but two plucky Brits are hard on their heels in the shape of Jaguar and Mini. The Report, carried out by the Centre for Business and Economic Research (CEBR), was wide ranging and revealing. It estimates that there are 1.6 million classic cars in the UK, with a total value of £8.7 billion. When broken down by manufacturer, Porsche tops the list being worth a staggering £1,177,402,814 (£1.8bn). The Germans are not having things all their own way though. Jaguar were second on the podium with a value of £723,342,788. When we take a closer look at the breakdown of models, the total stock of Porsche 911s is estimated to be worth £911 million, followed by the Jaguar E-Type at £370 million and the Mini at £309 million. On that basis, we think we beat them on penalties?
