As David Brown Automotive gets ready to reveal performance-focused Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition, we take a sneak peak.
David Brown Automotive has partnered with world-renowned classic car performance specialist, Oselli, to produce what they call, the Mini Remastered.
The Mini Remastered, Oselli Edition, was first unveiled towards the end of 2019. Since then, David Brown has been working hard with the team at Buckinghamshire-based Oselli to refine the design and bring it market. which will be limited to 60 bespoke models. The partnership with famous Oselli team has resulted in a significant enhancement of the Minis ‘A-series’ engine, with capacity increased to 1,450cc, featuring classic twin SU carburettors. The powertrain upgrade now drives through an uprated five-speed gearbox.
The upgrades don’t end there. The Mini benefits from improved braking and suspension components that are brought in to handle the extra power and speed. High performance tyres are mated to larger and wider 13-inch wheels to transfer the torque and handling to the black stuff safely. Cleverly, a number of new design options are also offered. The Oselli Edition being available in either a two- or four-seat configuration, with the two-seater featuring bucket seats and a rear hand-trimmed roll cage, while a four-point seatbelt harness adds to the race-track feel of this super lively car.
Like this new Mini, you’ll need to be lively. A limited run of only 60 of these specials will be built. All of them are hand-built in their Silverstone-based workshop. We understand a further announcement will be made in May. We will keep you posted.
