The 60th anniversary of the Cooper version of the Mini will be marked by two Mini only races at the Silverstone Classic event on 30 July - 1 August 2021
Launched in September 1961, the Cooper, as we all know, was a performance version of the British marvel which completely revolutionised small car design. In a re-match of the ferociously competitive races at the 2019 event, which celebrated the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Mini, this year's event will honour 60 years since John Cooper worked his magic on the Mini. The Silverstone Classic did not run in 2020 but is planned to celebrate its delayed 30th birthday this summer. Even more reason for a Mini celebration. Comments are closed.
